Cairo - Mubasher: Orascom Development Egypt achieved consolidated net profits after tax worth EGP 3.03 billion in the first six months (6M) of 2025, marking a 222.10% year-on-year (YoY) jump from EGP 942.76 million.
Revenues amounted to EGP 11.52 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, an annual rise of 12.90% from EGP 10.21 billion, according to the financial statements.
Basic earnings per share (EPS) climbed to EGP 2.79 in H1-25 from EGP 0.59 in H1-24.
During the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the company’s net profits after tax plummeted to EGP 1.05 billion from EGP 1.92 billion in Q2-24.
The group generated EGP 5.08 billion in revenues during April-June 2025, compared to EGP 6.03 billion in Q2-24. The EPS fell to EGP 0.98 from EGP 1.64.
Standalone Results
Orascom Development turned to profitability at EGP 2.74 billion in H1-25, against non-consolidated net losses of EGP 204.12 million in H1-24.
Standalone revenues jumped to EGP 5.02 billion in January-June 2025 from EGP 4.17 billion in H1-24.
Non-consolidated EPS amounted to EGP 2.43 in H1-25, compared to a loss per share of EGP 0.18 a year earlier.
In Q2-25, the standalone net profits hit EGP 544.78 million, an annual drop from EGP 1.34 billion. The revenues shrank to EGP 1.67 billion from EGP 2.72 billion.
As of 31 March 2025, Orascom Development swung to consolidated net profits after tax of EGP 1.98 billion, versus net losses after tax of EGP 984.54 million in Q1-24.
